the breakfast buffet offered a good selection. i saw eggs, meats, breads, cheeses, honeycomb, cereals and fruits. staff kept breakfast items refilled as needed. they cleared tables quickly after use.

my room felt small. the decoration and furnishing appear old and dated. the water was not hot enough for showers. i was expecting a higher standard, given the price.

i found the location to be a real asset. it's a short walk from the train station and the chapel bridge is just around the corner. the front desk staff helped me book tickets for mt. pilatus, which i found very helpful.

the lack of a kettle in the room was a slight inconvenience.

the air conditioning in the room was terribly loud. i got another room , but it had the same problem. it took until monday for a technician to come and fix the air conditioning issues. the room looked dated , and it could really use some freshening up. for what i paid , i expected better quality.
